She’s just a small-town girl…

Crystal Smith grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, where she first started writing music at just 9 years old. After years of active participation in church choir and school plays, she joined the armed forces, where she later met her husband of 9 years, and auditioned for a spot in the Air Force Tops and Blue performance ensemble, which included a world-wide competition where the pair were invited to compete as finalists!

After separating from the military in 2011 and while still attending college, Crystal spent much of her time as she always did, putting her life and experiences into her music while holding on to the prayer that it would someday reach the world in a way that felt inspired and impactful!

In 2017, she started performing as a solo artist with the release of her first original song, Still Standing, a composition about her choice to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a successful musician and recording artist.

Dubbed “the little girl with the big voice by audience members alike,” her soulful sound has been compared to such musical talents as Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and Mary J. Blige, with influences stemming from Classical piano (Mozart and Beethoven), to R&B (Beyoncé), and Pop music.

Crystal’s second single, Change of Heart (released July 24, 2020), showcases her love of music and story-telling in a gripping instrumental that combines the beautiful harmonics of string and piano with the added drama lent from that of an electric guitar. Birthed from the realization of her own true heart’s desires, the single sets the precedent for her first album, When Time Meets Destiny(coming July 2021), an autobiography about love, loss, self-worth, and the pursuit of life fulfillment and happiness at all costs.
